    (❗) *UPDATE* (❗)

    Greetings Everyone!

I have an important update regarding the Hindi Translation Project of PureDhamma.Net.

Due to some reasons I have decided to discontinue this project for the time being.

I will post more details soon.

Lal and I have agreed to remove the link of Hindi website from the PureDhamma.Net.

I will post an update on Hindi website regarding this.

Thanks to everyone who supported and assisted in this project coming to fruition.

    Theruwan Saranayi!

May you all have long life and short saṅsarā!

    Amazing @Jorg.

I also plan to come to SL in the first week of October. I haven’t booked the tickets yet.

I will be more than happy to meet you there. I plan to do some sightseeing and spend most of my time in JBM. I will spend at least a few weeks in the JBM monastery.

Having kama guna cannot be (and NEED NOT BE) avoided as long as one in an existence as a human, animal, etc.

@Lal, I think you might want to correct above reply #20422.

Thank you so much @TripleGemStudent for starting this thread. It helps everyone to measure their understanding from different angles.

    Lal said,

“Even an Arahant would have the “kama sanna,” i.e., experience the sweetness of sugar, bitterness of lemon, etc.”

Until now, I was under the impression that Arhant would experience the sweetness of sugar called kama guna.

I also assumed that kama guna is an objective property of a sense object, not a subjective property.

I’m committed to going, the only thing that will prevent me from doing so is outer circumstances or mundane affairs that I have no control over.

    Sadhu! Sadhu!! Sadhu!!!

I have also been planning a similar trip for this year itself. I will share more details soon.

    I hope that we can all meet and rejoice in freedom offered to us by The ultimate truth discovered by Supreme Buddha; whose compassion knows no bounds, whose wisdom is unsurpassable;

    Lal, I understand that you must be very busy. So, I will wait until you explain this in more posts, but, until then, I hope that you can answer this question even if very briefly;

    When you said that,

Tilakkhana (anicca, dukkha, and anatta) can be discussed at deeper levels.

What are some example of this? i.e. understanding these three characteristics at deeper level then what is explained on the website so far?

Can you give one example of application of each characteristic at deeper level?

Thank you @Lal for taking time to post a reply.

    =

I understand #1 of your reply.

I suspect that, “true origin of things in this world” is about understanding how the bhuta are originated from mind dependent upon gati, as you explain in “bhuta and Yathābhūta” post on website.

    = =

Thank you for explaining important terms in names of the section of Mūlapariyāya Suttā in your reply, point #2.

Point #3 and #4 are also clear.

    = = =

Lal, If it is not trouble, Can you please adress questions 5, 6, 7, 8 in #post-45298?

    Even if very briefly?

Also, this suttā is about physical world isn’t it?

Thank you to @Tobias G for taking time for explanation.

    Question for @Tobias G,

What do you mean by “mind immersing in Rūpa”, do you mean “mind generating kamma viññāṇa for given Rūpa due to inability to understand true nature of Rūpa”?

Yes, I agree 100% with what Lal is saying. It does not really truly matter where The Buddha was born.

We don’t need to consider the birthplace of doctor curing our disease. As long as he is competent and capable.

Recently, I was hearing a sermon of amadassana thero.

He was explaining how ultimately it is wrong to say that “I” am human, “I” am male/female huma, “I” am of this nationality, “I” am son and daughter of this, This property belongs to “Me/I” etc. Which is of course 100% true.

Because, when there is no permanent entity/identity/essence in any inert/living matter, how can we talk about something belonging to that permanent entity? It would be wrong question.

I think we all need to think about this issues deeply.

Otherwise as thero says, “all things considered ‘mundane love’ is at least as bad as hatred”.

Even Buddha dhamma as relegion has not been completely exempt from violence. Some groups/individuals have taken up weapons in name of Buddha Dhamma! Which is sad, Because, Buddha dhamma is anything but!

This is result of having “mundane defiled impure love” for Buddha dhamma.

Again this is not meant for anyone in particular, but just some relevent comments.

    Greetings, Lal.

    “In the ninety-two eons since

I planted that Bodhi back then,

I’ve come to know no bad rebirth:

that’s the fruit of planting Bodhis.”

    #33299

Lal, How can we aquire such a huge merits?

What they could have done to aquire such a immense merits?

How did AnAriya came to have such a huge merits without deep ariya level understanding of the virtues of noble triple gem?

What are some hugely meritorious activities we can do everyday for purpose of creating conductive enviornment for Nibbāna?

    Yes, My apologies, Lal.

I have been re reading the old sections from printed book. I printed “key dhamma concepts” section at end of 2021.

In the printed book, number is “2011”.

Anyways, now onwards I will verify the printed book articles with online latest revised versions before posting.
