That was the best answer about “dhamma” “Buddha Dhamma” and “dhamma” with the long “a” that I have ever read. How would you break down the word “buddhasāsana,” if it differentiates from Buddha Dhamma? Incidentally, I fully appreciate the “stickiness,” so-to-speak, of using the Sanskrit. It is clear from the texts that the Buddha was not amenable to using it to teach the buddhasasana. Given the political ramifications during the time in which he lived, e.g. most republics followed the Brahmin foundation of ruling, he would have already been aware of the consequences of using it.
