Hello all:

-If according to suttas and Buddha the evolution theory is incorrect and devolution is right.

-This earth  supposed to be 4.5 billions, with many stages and previous species.

-there have been previously humans with higher lifespans (80.000, 40.000, 20.000 years, etc).

1)It is right to think those humans lived in the 4.5 billions span of this earth, or it would be a previous formation?

2)Is it possible, if we believe current theories of earth development, to speculate in what stages of earth could have they existed?

• The Buddha taught that “humans with subtle bodies like those of Brahmas” lived on this Earth from the beginning of this Earth. See “Buddhism and Evolution – Aggañña Sutta (DN 27)“

I think that answers the second question, too.

• Scientists have very different theories, of course. They believe the Earth was devoid of any life for at least a billion years. They don’t know how the Earth acquired so much water or how the first life form arose on Earth.

So speculating it will be maybe in the Hadean eon when first humans descended from the deva realm into earth.

Im trying to picture it haha, like subtle bodies of humans probably radiating luminosity living in a molten surface.

I know it doesnt lead to more than ideas but its fun :).

• These are mere conjectures (or “theories”) by the scientists.
• There is no way to prove or disprove such conjectures. 
• It is similar to the idea of a “Creator God.” No one can prove or disprove that conjecture either.
