Thanks a lot dear Dhamma friend (Gad) for sharing these precious sermons.
In your comment # 47893 you said:
“Sammasambodhi Gami (friend Saketa) had already shared this channel. She has many recorded and translated speeches of Venerable Waharaka Thero.”My comment: Well… its not “She” but its “He” (anyways its not relevant).
I have not translated these sermons. The credit goes to the owner of the YouTube channel, Mr. Janith Fernando Sir. Huge merits for his Noble efforts in translating these precious sermons of most Ven. Waharaka Thero!
Sadu! Sadu! Sadu!
“Gāmi” means “going towards/heading towards”.
“Samma Sambodhi Gami” means “one who is going towards Samma Sambodhi.”

Sammasambodhi GamiParticipantDear Dhamma friend (Gad), your suggestion is admirable. Thanks for mentioning this.
I forgot to pay homage to the Triple Gem in the beginning. I am really sorry for that. It’s my mistake.
Next time, the discussion will start with paying homage to the Triple Gem… “Namo tasssa Bhagavato Arahato Sammasambuddhasa”.
@Seng Kiat Sir, Thank you so much for converting the audio file to a smaller size. I appreciate your efforts.

Sammasambodhi GamiParticipantIt is to inform that while recording today’s session, a technical error occured. Only the audio was recorded, not the video. I am really sorry for this error.
But today’s meeting was quite useful.
I would like to thank everyone who took part in this Dhamma discussion. Also highly grateful to Ven. Lal Sir for being a Noble Friend for us. It was a great experience to discuss Dhamma with Kalyana Mithras.
We share the merits to all sentient beings so that they can also develop their spiritual faculties (saddha, viriya, sati, samadhi, panna) to achieve the Supreme Bliss of Nibbana!!!
Sadu Sadu Sadu.

Sammasambodhi GamiParticipantYes, dear Seng Kiat Sir, I live in India. It seems that “voov meeting” is blocked here by the government. However, I can still use VPN to access those links.
But I think we should continue with the planned “Google meet” scheduled on Sunday. After that Ven. Lal Sir will decide which platform will be better for hosting online group meetings in the future.
Thanks.
Sammasambodhi GamiParticipantThanks dear Christian Sir for sharing the link of the meeting on your discord group.
Also thanks to Mr. Seng Kiat Sir for suggesting the “voov meeting”. But the links you gave are not working.

Sammasambodhi GamiParticipantYou are welcome in this meeting dear Tobias Sir!
@Ven. Lal Sir, thank you so much for giving an overview of the meeting.
See you all Kalyana Mithras (Noble friends) on Sunday!
Sammasambodhi GamiParticipantA little update regarding the scheduled meeting on Sunday:
The free/basic plans of “Zoom meet” has time limit of 40 minutes and for “Google meet” the time limit is 60 minutes.
So we have decided to schedule two meetings of 1 hours each consecutively via “Google meet.”
The link to the first meeting is: (12:30-1:30 PM GMT)
https://meet.google.com/wtz-qaff-iag
The link to the second meeting is: (1:35- 2:35 PM GMT)
https://meet.google.com/fus-wfvf-xqi
All of you are invited to join this Dhamma discussion!
Thanks.

Sammasambodhi GamiParticipantThanks dear Dhamma friend Yash.
Lets see what others have to say. Then we will decide a convenient time slot which can be accessible for all.
@Ven. Lal Sir, we will take care of your time slot as you are the Dhamma teacher in the online discussion session.
Sammasambodhi GamiParticipantDear Dhamma friend, dosakkhayo
We can modify the timings by +1hr/-1hr. If it comes in your comfortable range then do inform us about it.
Don’t worry, we will try to upload the recording of the conference on youtube (next day). In this way, those who missed the meeting can watch on youtube. But try your best to attend the meeting, because you will get to ask questions/discuss Dhamma with Ven. Lal Sir LIVE. Its a different experience altogether.
With metta…
Saket.
Sammasambodhi GamiParticipantI suggest the topic of discussion to be:
- How the “distorted sanna” arises in our mind (the mechanism) and why is it critical to understand this to remove our defilements.
And if this conference is successful, the topic of the next Dhamma discussion may be “How to practice the deeper version of Satipatthana by understanding distorted sanna.”
Are there any suggestions from anyone?
Sammasambodhi GamiParticipantVen. Sir, it’s Saket. I recently changed my name on the forum.
Sammasambodhi GamiParticipantThank you so much Ven. Ariyaratana Sir for accepting the invitation.
We will first start with the Google meeting then gradually when we become familiar with the group online conference then we can switch to zoom meeting.
The date and time is chosen specifically to cover all time zones around the world.
12:30 PM (afternoon) GMT would be equivalent to 6 PM (evening) in Colombo Time (Sri Lanka) or Indian Standard Time (India).
If anyone has more suggestions, you can comment here.
Lets decide the topic(s) to be discussed at the conference.
Sammasambodhi GamiParticipantIf the date and time of the Google meeting is acceptable to everyone, then only we can proceed.
First we need to get the approval of Ven. Lal Sir and other forum members.
What are your thoughts?
Sammasambodhi GamiParticipantThe 24 types of conditions (paccaya) which comes into play in the Paticcasamuppada cycles are:
(1) Hetupaccayo, (root condition)

(3) Adhipatipaccayo, (predominance condition)
(4) Anantarapaccayo, (proximity condition)
(5) Samanantarapaccayo, (contiguity condition)
(6) Sahajātapaccayo, (co-nascence condition)
(7) Aññamaññapaccayo, (mutuality condition)
(8) Nissayapaccayo, (dependence condition)
(9) Upanissayapaccayo, (strong dependence condition)
(10) Purejātapaccayo, (pre-nascence condition)
(11) Pacchājātapaccayo, (post-nascence condition)
(12) Ᾱsevanapaccayo, (repetition condition)
(13) Kammapaccayo, (kamma condition)
(14) Vipākapaccayo, (vipaka condition)
(15) Ᾱhārapaccayo, (nutriment condition)
(16) Indriyapaccayo, (faculty condition)
(17) Jhānapaccayo, (jhana condition)
(18) Maggapaccayo, (path condition)
(19) Sampayuttapaccayo, (association condition)
(20) Vippayuttapaccayo, (dissociation condition)
(21) Atthipaccayo, (presence condition)
(22) Natthipaccayo, (absence condition)
(23) Vigatapaccayo, (disappearance condition)
(24) Avigatapaccayo (non-disappearance condition)
How the cause(s) and condition(s) play out to give different kinds of result(s), these things are precisely known ONLY to a Samma Sambuddha.
