May 25, 2018 at 2:56 am #15992 EmbodiedSpectator Hello Are you referring to the Sutta ? https://www.wisdomlib.org/definition/saraniya If wrong, Lal will correct it… May 25, 2018 at 9:24 am #15999 LalKeymaster “Sarana” in Pali and Sinhala means “refuge”. “Buddham saranam gaccami” means “I take refuge in Buddha” Saraniya could mean “in accordance with taking refuge in X”, where X depends on where the word is used. The Pali dictionary that I like has both words “sarana” and “saraniya“: Concise Pali-English Dictionary It says “saraniya” is “fit to be remembered”. Either one could be right depending on the context. May 25, 2018 at 10:21 am #16000 AnonymousInactive Thank you Embodied for the sutta reference! Stūtiyi Lal! They are both very helpful! With metta!
