According to the video below, it seems that after the destruction of the world, only the worldlings with extreme ‘niyatha miccha ditthi‘ will be born in a hell called ‘Maha Andakaraya Lokanthriya Narayakaya’(some dark hell). Then only those from the “Abhassara” realm will be reborn as humans and inhabit the newly formed world. So then, according to this video, it seems untrue that the majority of our time will be spent in “Abhassara” realm, but many creatures will be in the hells at that time as well.

Yes. I have listened to a discourse by Waharaka Thero in which it is mentioned that some with niyata miccha ditthi (well-established wrong views) will be reborn in “specially harsh hells” outside the Solar system. 

• As I remember, those will be relatively few, and most will be in the Abhassara realm.
• If we can locate that original audio from Waharaka Thero, we can look into it.

Thank you for confirming it, sir. I did not know there was such a hell. I was under the impression that everyone, irrespective of their karma, would end up in the Abhassara Realm. The cycle of rebirth now seems even more dangerous than I previously thought, as I believed beings would spend 80 percent of their existence in the Abhassara realms. I wonder if beings like Devaputra Māra, his daughters, and Devadatta Swāmini will also end up there with the destruction of the current world system.
