Theruwan Saranayi Damithu 🙏🏿 Welcome to the forum! First of all, I want to congratulate you on finding an interest in the Noble Dhamma at this young age! You remind me of when I was a teenager (I started at 17; I am almost 25 now). As you know, most teenagers are fully immersed in Kāma rāga and don’t even really care about Sila (especially nowadays). In the US you probably see many teenagers do a lot of crazy and highly immoral deeds. You are very fortunate and blessed to find the Dhamma more attractive than anything. Is your past good Kamma and Paramitta that bring you there.

The sotāpanna stage can be attained at any age if the person has enough paramitta and wisdom to complete it. So don’t worry you will achieve it by the powers of your merits and with the noble association. You don’t need to learn complex teachings on the Dhamma. What you need is enough wisdom to understand the real nature of the world and the noble association. There are four causes that lead to the sotāpanna stage. This is what the Lord Buddha said in the Sotāpattiphala sutta  the same thing is also said in the  Dutiyasāriputta sutta

“Mendicants, when four things are developed and cultivated they lead to the realization of the fruit of stream-entry.

“Cattārome, bhikkhave, dhammā bhāvitā bahulīkatā sotāpattiphalasacchikiriyāya saṁvattanti.

What four?

Katame cattāro?

Associating with Noble persons, listening to the true teaching, rational application of mind, and practicing in line with the teaching.

Sappurisasaṁsevo, saddhammassavanaṁ, yonisomanasikāro, dhammānudhammappaṭipatti—

When these four things are developed and cultivated they lead to the realization of the fruit of stream-entry.”

ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro dhammā bhāvitā bahulīkatā sotāpattiphalasacchikiriyāya saṁvattantī”ti.

You also talk said you have probably attained Jhāna ! That’s amazing. You have experienced a strong pīti which is one of the factors of the first jhāna! As Sir Lal said is an anariya jhāna. With some members of the forum, we have an online meditation group with Venerable Deegoda Dhamadassi Thero from Waharaka Temple. He teaches us how to meditate with ariyas objects like the true characteristics of the world, the qualities of the Noble Triple Gem, and the light of Ariya wisdom. If you are interested, friend you are always welcome to participate and I can send you the contact of Bhante. We have a YouTube channel where all the guided meditations are posted ! You can watch them and follow the instructions.
