• In this video Venerable Deegoda Dhammadasi, Will explain about proper way to practice Asubha and the things that need to be understood before practicing.

3. How to properly apply the “asubha anusati”, to stop the advance of impurities?
Such as lustful thoughts and sexual desires.• The usual method that I have heard and put into practice is; getting into some kind of Samadhi and then beginning to visualize the internal organs.
Taking them out and looking at the organs, and making it as real as possible, such as the blood, smell, etc…
And repeating this process over and over again with more details.• After practicing in this manner for a few months I begin to notice a few things.
° Such as excessive irritation.
° Depress mindset.
° And Strange behaviors; I begin visiting the graveyard too much!
Etc.• I don’t think there was any development of wisdom.
Although I got very good at visualization of body parts.
As for the reduction of sexual desire, nothing noteworthy• How to properly apply the asubha (vibhajjavadi), to stop the progress of impurities.
For example: person x is walking in the street and sees an attractive model.
And that leads to the arising of the impurities.
How do you break the attachment, and stop the advance of impurities, in this case?
Similarly, attachment can happen through the other five senses.•In the example above a raga attachment has happened, and the cause of the raga is moha.
° Ditthi vipallasa, sañña vipallasa and citta vipallasa, the arising of these three is called moha.
° I’d like to know in the above example.
What is ditthi vipallasa?
What is sañña vipallasa?
What is citta vipallasa?• Please, in your explanation apply the Asubha, Thilakana, paticchasamuppada and four Ariya truths.
