Conduct with bhikkus

      How is one to conduct oneself on meeting a bhikku?

      When for the first time I met one last year I could only be as courteous as possible; I provided information about historical sites to his two companions – he spoke no English- and touched lightly upon the Order, but I was hesitant about giving money, not knowing whether that is done in a foreign land and how it would be taken. They came from Thailand (bhikku wore orange robe).

      Incidentally, that was at the time when I came upon Puredhamma.

      Any guidelines?
